PTN Long Beach

A L-O-N-G Time Coming!

In November of 2016, PTN achieved a monumental accomplishment when it opened the doors to PTN LONG BEACH! Spacious, bright, shiny and colorful&this new 6,000 square foot facility is dedicated to meeting the developing needs of children and their families in the Long Beach community and surrounding cities.

Why Long Beach? Currently, there is an unaddressed need for early intervention services within the medically underserved area of Long Beach. According to the US Census Bureau, there are over 33,000 children under the age of five in Long Beach, more than any other city in the county. With the Center for Disease Control (CDC) reporting that 1 in 6 children has one or more developmental delays or disabilities, there are an estimated 5,500 children in Long Beach in need of high quality early intervention services. With the opening of the new Long Beach facility, PTN is able to expand the breadth of its reach to areas of Los Angeles County and the South Bay in need of early intervention services but without direct access to an established and effective program.

A strong team of PTN therapists, teachers and assistants have embarked on a new adventure with the opening of its early intervention program in Long Beach. Called Leaps & Bounds, the program is for toddlers 18 months to 3 years of age who have been identified with moderate to severe developmental delays. The team is excited to be the pioneers of this new facility and are enjoying orienting new families every week to the growing program. An extension of PTNs Torrance locations, PTN Long Beach is familiar and comfortable for both families and staff.

It is PTNs plan that this new facility will eventually offer all of the individual services and group programs of our Torrance locations. PTN Long Beach is located at 1406 Obispo Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90804.
